UDOO Neo: the wireless playground for the Internet of Things that fits in your pocket
Hi UDOOers,
And it’s name is UDOO NEO. We are very proud to announce it today, because this Single Board Computer is based on a new processor designed by Freescale which is going to be released exactly today. You may understand our excitement! It’s been a race against time, but we finally managed to succeed. But let’s go straight to the point. I guess you are all curious about the UDOO Neo!
Dimensions
All this potential compressed in an even tinier dimension: 59.3mm x 85mm (3.35″ x 2.33″). Just think at all the possibilities offered by the credit-card size. Now you can really call it a pocket-sized Single Board Computer!
Processor
Freescale has really realized something remarkable. Open Hardware in its soul, UDOO Neo is a low-cost computer equipped with a Freescale i.MX 6SoloX heterogeneous processor for Android and Linux. The i.MX 6SoloX embeds a powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 and ARM Cortex-M4 I/O real-time co-processor, which makes the board compatible with the Arduino environment, allowing high performance at a lower price.
Born to be Wireless
We want to provide you an always-connected solution: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n + Bluetooth 4.0 . Drones, Rover, Robots are never been so easy to manage. And the list of improvements isn’t finished yet!
Made for sensing the world
You couldn’t desire more interactivity: 3-Axis accelerometer + 3-Axis magnetometer + 3-Axis digital gyroscope for your DIY wearables and whatever weird IoT-object you are planning. UDOO Neo has also the same form factor of Arduino UNO, so it is compatible with all the Arduino UNO shields!
