Hi UDOOers,
nowadays everybody talks about the Internet of Things. Let’s stop talking about it. Let’s do it.

We told you about BETaaS a short time ago. You may have watched our UDOO-Hangout with the team – if you didn’t, well, give it a watch.

The BETaaS team is brilliant and determined. We met them in October at RIOT 2014, a thrilling 3-days Hackathon (with 6 UDOO-based projects) about IoT during the Internet Festival in the wonderful city of Pisa, Italy.

BETaaS is a collaborative project we support, co-funded by the European Commission, with huge partners like the cloud-and-hardware giant HP, a project which has the ambitious goal to establish an open-source and innovative platform for the realization of the Internet of Things, overcoming the limitations of current M2M applications platforms.

And the big news of today is that you can finally try the first BETaaS demo on your UDOO!

BETaaS on Linux

BETaaS is based on the UDOOBETaaS image.

But as previously said, let’s stop talking about it. Let’s do it. The BETaaS team did such a meticulous job with the tutorial released on udoo.hackster.io that you better stop reading right now, click on the image below and start “IoTing” with BETaaS.
And don’t forget to leave a comment. We’ve opened a topic about BETaaS in the forum to allow you to leave feedbacks, give some tips and collaborate with the team in the realization of this ambitious project.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the Internet of Things was based on a open-source platform?
